Stop Worrying About Your Energy Bills Now!

Does your home cost a great deal to run? We have been monitoring the increase of power bills for some time and things are only set to get worse.  There are few options available and not many of them are affordable.  We have done some research and came across a new innovation which has finally started making its way over to the home improvement market.

Renewable energy is something we are all aware of, but not very knowledgeable about.  Did you for example know that every dollar you spend on renewable energy adds $20 to the value of your home?

A lot of people are under the assumption that to invest in renewable power sources costs a significant amount of money.  Recently we have discovered that this is not the case.  These days, it is becoming increasingly more affordable and you can not only save money but also add significant value to your property by converting your property to renewable energy.

There are a range of options that the average homeowner can choose from when it comes to installation

Hire a consultant - $5,000 to $250,000
Buy a conversion kits - $1500 to $5000
Do it yourself - $100 to $500

We are going to focus on DIY methods of converting our home to renewable energy, and review a selection of the best guides we have found.

Earth4Energy – A reliable and proven method of cutting your energy bill
Our first product is known as Earth4Energy.  This was launched at the start of the year and proved to be an outstanding success by many people who thought they could never have an energy efficient home.   We were attracted by this product due to the level of support they offer and also the simplicity of the information. However, we must also state that home energy kits are not for eight-year-old boys.  It takes an average day to buy and install all the components which can cost in excess of $200.

Earth4Energy are smart enough to know that solar power is not the answer for everyone.  They also spend a great deal of time explaining wind turbines and how to take advantage of them.
One of the things we liked about this guide was that it assumed we were complete beginners and had no prior experience.  Because of this, we tested it on a complete beginner and without any input from the experts; they successfully installed a relatively small system on their boat.
Following this guide, you can apply the techniques to any kind of property, which is a major boon because it means you can use it on your caravan home and even your garage.
Our verdict is that this one of the easiest ways to convert your property to renewable energy.  It his highly affordable and the author will stop at nothing to give support and help you with your project.

Less well-known, this product claims to reduce your energy costs and your carbon footprint at the same time.  This method focuses on solar panels, and tends to concentrate on that fact at the expense of being quite sparse when it comes to Wind Turbines.

This product does a very good job of discounting the myth that renewable conversion is an expensive investment.  It also goes into some detail about why solar energy is not always the best choice, and this is where it starts to talk about wind turbines.

As we mentioned the guide does not seem so comprehensive in this issue but the author does an excellent job talking about solar panels and how to build them.  They told us how to reduce your power bill, and also install and create our own solar panels as well as how to harness the power of the wind.
We would have to rank this product at 3/5 due to the fact it does lack a little detail.  Whilst it tells us everything we need to know more.  We did find ourselves stealing tips from the other products.

DIY home solar power is a way to help you create your own solar powered home.  This product states that the cost of electricity is skyrocketing, and that it's getting more expensive.  They also mention that the number one reason we don't have solar power is because we think it's expensive, which is actually true!
We found this product delivered a lot of technical facts and figures which some of the other products deliberately missed out on.

When we gave this to our review panel, they found that was complicated.  It had a lot of technical terms in it, and they did fail to make sense of some of the intricacies and diagrams. They were also disappointed about the fact the guide only mentioned solar powered techniques.
Whilst the guide does deliver on its promises, the fact it uses a significant amount of technical terminology, this makes it obviously more complicated to learn from and also easier to make a mistake.  As a result, it would take significantly more time than the other guides to successfully make our home energy efficient.
The support given with this book was excellent and it did cover a lot of our questions, however we still found it slightly beyond our skills when it comes to energy conversion.
Our conclusion is that whilst this material does deliver.  It needs a bit of work on being user friendly and easy to use.
